Golden Gecko (Gekko badenii) is the real-world anchor for this Vault-Specimen. Golden Gecko is Gekko badenii, a southern Vietnamese gekkonid also historically traded under the junior synonym Gekko ulikovskii; it has enlarged adhesive toe pads, large nocturnal eyes and yellow to golden-brown dorsal coloration. Gekko badenii is an oviparous gecko from southern Vietnam, with the name Gekko badenii having nomenclatural priority over Gekko ulikovskii. It is an arboreal, climbing gecko and is represented in the pet trade.
