Slow, constant movement. Millipedes process substrate, move steadily, and create a calm, almost rhythmic presence in an enclosure. More about flow than action. Gentle giants of the invertebrate world, millipedes are harmless detritivores that love to curl up in your hand. Their fascinating patterns, slow crawl, and ease of care make them excellent pets and educational animals.
