Jumping Spider (Phidippus spp.) is the real-world biological anchor for this Vault-Specimen. Phidippus is a genus of jumping spiders in family Salticidae, containing some comparatively large salticids. Members have the characteristic enlarged forward-facing principal eyes of jumping spiders; many Phidippus species also show striking body patterns and iridescent chelicerae.
