Handcrafted Oddities From Beyond the Veil
Every Myco-Emporium Oddity Jar is individually assembled and arranged by hand. Because each specimen display is created one at a time, small differences in positioning, coloration, bubbles, suspended material, and other details are completely normal. Those little variations are part of what makes each jar its own strange artifact from another Myco-Verse.
What’s Inside the Jar?
Our standard display liquid is primarily purified reverse-osmosis water. Depending on the particular jar, a very small amount of stabilizing or anti-growth material may also be used to help maintain the appearance of the display over time. Some jars may also contain a small copper element as part of our effort to discourage unwanted discoloration or biological growth.
The liquid is part of the display and is not intended for drinking, handling, or any other use.
Keep Your Oddity Out of Direct Sunlight
Like many preserved and decorative displays, Oddity Jars are happiest somewhere cool and away from strong ultraviolet light. Avoid placing your jar directly in a sunny window, vehicle, greenhouse, or other location where it will receive prolonged sunlight or excessive heat.
UV exposure and heat can gradually affect pigments, decorative materials, liquid clarity, seals, and other components inside the jar. A shelf, curiosity cabinet, display case, or softly lit corner is the ideal habitat for your newly acquired anomaly.
Please Keep the Jar Sealed
Oddity Jars are decorative novelty collectibles and are designed to remain sealed. Opening the jar can introduce bacteria, dust, oils, microorganisms, or other contaminants that may cause cloudiness, discoloration, odor, or deterioration of the display.
Please do not drink the liquid, allow children or pets to play with an opened jar, or add household chemicals to the display.
If the Water Level Ever Drops
A properly sealed jar should require very little maintenance. If a jar is kept for a long period and the liquid level noticeably decreases, the best replacement is a small amount of distilled water or reverse-osmosis water.
Add only enough to restore the original level and reseal the jar securely. Do not add tap water, peroxide, bleach, alcohol, cleaners, fragrances, additional copper, or other chemicals. If something unusual develops inside the jar, contacting Myco-Emporium before opening or altering it is the safest option.
