Step Into the Glowing Realms of 3G-MOSSES
Curated living Moss Pods gathered from the enchanted woodland sanctuary of Green Grass Grove—cleaned, nurtured, and prepared for Myco-Patrons and Cosmic Gardeners to awaken new worlds inside terrariums, vivariums, habitats, and creative micro-landscapes.
Living Moss Pods from the Realms of Green Grass Grove
For our Myco-Patrons and Cosmic Gardeners, 3G-MOSSES is our promise that every moss specimen has been hand-selected, nurtured, and ethically prepared from our private woodland sanctuary before it ever reaches your hands.
3G-MOSSES is the living moss division of Green Grass Grove, where we carefully harvest and prepare forest-grown mosses from our own land. These are not bleached, dried craft-store scraps. Each specimen is part of a thriving colony that has been chosen for health, structure, and long-term potential in terrariums, vivariums, bioactive enclosures, and nature-focused décor.
Unless specifically noted otherwise, every moss offering is presented in our signature clear clamshells, which we call Moss Pods™. Inside, you’ll find a living cushion of moss resting on a carefully prepared base, ready to be admired, misted, and integrated into your own little world-building projects.
From Grove to Moss Pod™
Hand-Selected from our Private Woodland Realms
All 3G-MOSSES specimens are harvested directly from Green Grass Grove, our privately owned, ever-evolving natural sanctuary. We walk the shaded, moisture-rich trails and choose only small portions of healthy, thriving colonies, leaving the majority intact. This protects the forest floor, encourages regrowth, and ensures we are never strip-harvesting an area.
Forest Gentle, Terrarium Ready
Once collected, moss is gently cleaned of excess soil, leaf litter, and hitchhikers. We keep the original structure of the colony intact while removing obvious debris. Each cluster is inspected for health, vigor, and color so that only robust, living specimens move forward into the Moss Pod™ preparation stage.
Prepared PET-Grade Moisture Anchor
To give your moss a stable foundation, each Pod includes a carefully prepared base of boiled, cooled, and pasteurized PET-grade preserved sphagnum moss. This substrate acts as a moisture reservoir and structural support while helping to keep unwanted organisms at bay. The moss is placed atop this base so it remains plump, hydrated, and easy to transfer into your habitat or display.
Moss Pod™ Clamshells for Display & Protection
Finally, the prepared moss and its sphagnum base are nestled into a clear PET clamshell, our signature Moss Pod™. This protects the specimen during transport, allows full visual appreciation from all angles, and standardizes sizing for events and online orders. Unless otherwise noted on the label, all 3G-MOSSES offerings are presented this way.
Special & Exotic Mosses: On occasion, and only when it is legal and ethically sourced, we may offer cultivated or specialty moss species ideal for live-specimen terrariums and bioactive enclosures. Any such offerings will be clearly noted on their labels with origin, care notes, and usage guidance for our Myco-Patrons and Cosmic Gardeners.
A Tiny Forest for Every Cosmic Gardener
Whether you’re building a bioactive habitat for live specimens or crafting a meditative desktop terrarium, 3G-MOSS Pods are curated to feel like you’ve collected your own slice of Green Grass Grove—without disturbing a single root in the wild.
Hand-Selected & Nurtured Until Departure
Each Pod begins as a living cluster in our woodland realms. We choose colonies for form, density, and vigor, then nurture them through the cleaning and preparation process until the moment they leave our hands. From forest canopy vibes to clamshell glow, every step is handled in-house by the 3G-MOSSES team.

How We Harvest
Caring for your Moss Pod™
A quick guide to what happens after you bring a 3G-MOSS Pod home: how to open it, how to keep it happy, and how we harvest with respect for the living systems it came from.
What should I do when I first open the Pod?
Open your Moss Pod in a clean area with good indirect light. The moss may look slightly compact from transport. You can gently loosen the cushion with your fingers and give it a light mist with dechlorinated water. Keep it in bright, indirect light and avoid letting it dry out completely.
- Light mist 1–3 times per week (depending on your environment)
- Never submerge for long soaks; moss prefers consistent humidity
- If staying in the Pod, crack the lid slightly for airflow in humid homes
Is it safe for terrariums and live-specimen enclosures?
3G-MOSSES offerings are assembled with bioactive and display builds in mind. The pasteurized sphagnum base is chosen to be a clean, moisture-stable anchor. Always verify species-specific needs of your animals and quarantine any new natural material if you maintain sensitive or high-value live collections.
- Ideal for planted terrariums, vivariums, and bioactive displays
- Monitor humidity so moss does not desiccate or mold
- Remove any visible decay if your enclosure is very enclosed and stagnant
How do you protect the Grove when you harvest?
All mosses are collected from our own private property at Green Grass Grove. We take only small portions of larger colonies, skip areas that are stressed or recovering, and rotate harvest zones to allow natural regrowth. We do not intentionally collect protected species and continually review our practices to remain in alignment with state guidelines and ecological respect.
Why does my Moss Pod look slightly different from photos?
Every Moss Pod is a living piece of the Grove. That means natural variation in size, density, and exact color is expected. Product photos and sample Pods show the general look and feel you can expect, but each cluster is uniquely shaped by the forest it grew in. Any exotic, cultivated, or specialty species will be clearly labeled as such.
Our Ongoing Commitment: 3G-MOSSES exists at the intersection of artistry, stewardship, and small-scale cultivation. As we expand our offerings, we will continue to prioritize sustainable collection, transparent labeling, and clear care guidance. When you support 3G-MOSSES, you are supporting not just a product, but the continued protection and celebration of Green Grass Grove itself.
The Mushroom Network, LLC is the parent organization overseeing all related Myco-Brands, including Green Grass Grove, 3G-MOSSES, and Myco-Emporium. All live mosses, natural botanicals, and cultivated varieties sold under these brands are prepared and distributed in compliance with Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) nursery and plant industry regulations. Every 3G-MOSSES offering is sourced exclusively from our privately owned property or produced through approved cultivation methods. Harvesting is performed in small, ethical batches and handled using sanitation standards appropriate for live plant materials. Any specialty or exotic mosses offered to Myco-Patrons and Cosmic Gardeners are clearly labeled and sold only where legally permitted.
